Gold Vermeil is Gold plating over a Sterling Silver base. Due to the nature of this metal, these styles tend to be a little more delicate. Sterling Silver will tarnish over time so it is important to take care of your jewelry to lengthen the life of your favorite pieces. Water will not harm them, but we do not recommend they be worn frequently in water. We advise putting on lotions and perfume before your jewelry.
